Most communities rely on one person. That's why they don't last.
Incurable Optimist is the network for women hosting small, in-person communities.
Members share what makes hosting sustainable.

Who this is for
A book club. A dinner. A room.
You're not just the host. You're the reason the room exists, the reason people
come back, and the reason no one notices how much it takes.
It works. And it costs you.
If you've ever thought about stepping back or resting and already know what would
happen if you did, this is for you.
Diagnostic questions
- Do people come back?
- Do they know each other beyond you?
- Can it continue without your constant energy?
What you get
A network of hosts
For women already building communities. Shared structure, tools, and resources
so your community doesn't depend on you alone. So you can focus on what actually
matters. The people, the conversation, what happens in the room.
The Gathering Room framework
The Gathering Room is a structured format you apply to your community so it
doesn't depend on your energy. Run it consistently without carrying it alone.
Shared Roles. Clear Rhythms. Real Ownership.
First access to what we build next
The infrastructure for hosts is being built. Network members shape it and get
first access when it ships.
How it works
-
Join. Tell us who you are and what you host. The network is for
women committed to hosting.
-
Get the framework, the partners, and the peers. Run your first
room with structure built to repeat. The network grows around you so you do not
carry it alone.
-
Build something that continues without your constant energy.
Shared ownership is the structure from day one.
About the Founder: Esther Osaheni
Esther spent nearly seven years in tech before leaving in March 2026 to build
Incurable Optimist full time. When a health crisis forced her to step back, she
saw what she had been too close to see: one person holding every community
together with nothing built to last underneath her.
Care was never enough on its own. The structure has always been missing.
Incurable Optimist is building it.
"I am, as it turns out, an incurable optimist. I believe we were built to believe
in better, and that once we see better, we have no choice but to build it."
