Who this is for
Loneliness is a hosting problem.
Incurable Optimist is the network for the hosts building the communities that solve it.
A book club. A dinner series. A run club. A room that exists because you keep showing up.
What hosts get
- Peer Collaboration: opportunities to co-host, cross-promote, and share notes of what works.
- Playbook: a framework of roles, rhythms, and scripts that takes the logistics off your plate, so you can focus on your people and the experience.
- Pilot support for your gatherings: partnerships, tools, and resources.
How it works
- Apply. Tell us who you are, what you host, and the community you're building.
- Join the founding cohort. Help inform the tools, partnerships, and support systems that will make hosting more sustainable.
- Shape the network. The tools, partnerships, and support systems.
Bottom line
Most gatherings optimize for attendance. We optimize for the stay. Our bottom line is belonging.
About the Founder: Esther Osaheni
Esther spent nearly seven years in tech before leaving in March 2026 to build
Incurable Optimist full time. When a health crisis forced her to step back, she
saw what she had been too close to see: one person holding every community
together with nothing built to last underneath her.
Care was never enough on its own. The structure has always been missing.
Incurable Optimist is building it.
"I am, as it turns out, an incurable optimist. I believe we were built to believe
in better, and that once we see better, we have no choice but to build it."
